Learn to code on a regular basis with a supportive community. For free.
Learned the basics of coding and want to dig deeper? Teaching yourself to code already and want a friendly, supportive community? Never even written a line of code?
Our weekly Meetup — Shift_Up "Code Night" — is for you.
At Code Night you'll find dedicated time, space, and community to help you teach yourself to code.
If you're brand new and need a basic introduction, we do that, too, right at the start (so don't be late!).
The basic introduction at the start will provide you with everything you need to get started, though it will be condensed. If you would prefer a full-length introduction, you should sign up for an Intro to Coding Workshop.
Our West Side Code Night is every two weeks on Thursday from 5:30-8pm at the Grand River Workplace (19120 Grand River Ave, Detroit, MI 48223).
Our East Side Code Night is on alternating weeks on Tuesday from 5:30-8pm at the Ford Resource Engagement Center II (15491 Maddelein St, Detroit, MI 48205).
